Why I Love Easter

I love Easter because it reminds me that I have been given GRACE. I do not have to work hard or perform to receive the love of Christ. The price was paid on the cross. I can freely live a life full of abundance and love...given by God.

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

psalm 34:8

I also love that I can celebrate and have fun with my family!

A 1 year old on Easter

JJ's 2nd Easter of his life began the Saturday before Easter Sunday. He attended church, or I should say say Children's church.. He then woke up the next morning for breakfast, got dressed, and was taken down stairs where Grandma D had made a Easter egg hunt in her living room( since it was raining outside). JJ found more than Easter eggs (filled with fruit loops) down stairs from the Easter Bunny(aka Grandma D). He also found a big balloon, a note written just for him, a card, and a new book to fit the occasion. It was fun as we watched his very 1st Easter egg hunt because he was very much distracted by the big balloon, musical card, and did not quite get it! I am sure next year he will understand more as he shares Easter with his new Sister, on her lst Easter Day!

We then went to Great Aunt Kit and Uncle Dennis' Country Club for a lavished Easter Brunch. This is where JJ was greeted by Mr. Bunny, the balloon guy, more eggs, a room designated just for desserts and a great buffet. It is always nice to spend time with family, surrounded with love, great food, and wonderful conversation. Especially for JJ, because he is the only baby on this side of the family. This means he gets a whole lot of ATTENTION:)

It was then time to go home, for naptime...for the whole family after eating so so good. With only 3 weeks left before JoElle arrives we had some more preparing to do on this Easter Sunday( getting the bassinet, bouncer, clothes, and room ready)!

Thank you Jesus for dying and rising for us. It is because of you that we can enjoy a life full of joy and completion in you.
