Partying in White...

and my Best Friend in Red!!! Last weekend my BFF celebrated God bringing her into her 30's with friends and family....in style....white style! My best friend looked stunning and stood out in her red! I thought it was perfect!

What exactly is a white party? A white party is a party that you are invited to attend with one guideline...wear white!!! It makes it fun, uniformed, and looks great in pictures.

 Can you tell that one of my favorite things to take is pictures!? Especially with my new camera(canon rebel t3i). When my husband gave me this camera for Christmas I wanted to enjoy taking pictures of my family and also bless others. I was very excited when I got this text from my BFF the morning of her party:

"looking forward to seeing you. Is that camera all charged up. I want to be sure my party makes it to the blog. :)"

Gratitudes and Gifts




 The 30th birthday as we all know is a very special birthday. My Best Friend that I have known for 15 years is 30! We live about 500 miles away from each other right now. My entire family will be traveling and joining her for her BIG birthday party and giving her a gift next week! Despite distance I wanted to give her something special on her actual Birthday!


I am so grateful for my friend and sometimes I wonder if she really knows exactly how much . I decided to show her my gratitude through this gift!  Here were my steps:         
1.   I  printed out a letter(posted above) explaining the gift...

20 Gratitudes + 10 Friendship Gifts= Happy 30th Birthday LaDonna.

 



2. I found  a pretty card stock of butterflies to fly my Gratitudes! I then typed 20 gratitudes to place on the front of the  butterflies. It was not hard to think of 20 things..at all!

 


3. I then found 20 pictures to place with each Thank You note. I placed the pictures on the back of the butterflies! Finding pictures was easy also(the majority of the pictures I  found I was pregnant )...we have taken so many pictures over the years!

 




4. In college me and the BF would randomly by each other gifts and give them to each other with a note that said "Happy Friend Day!".  I decided to buy my BFF 10 random friend gifts i.e her favorite cookies, fruit, workout shirt, lotion, jewelry, cute socks, and more!

 




5. I placed all the gifts in a cute gift bag and wrapped all the Thank You notes together!

 

7. Lastly, my Lil Helper and me taped it up and sent it to the Post Office!

Baby Love...

I will have to admit that I miss being pregnant, okay just a lil bit. With my last pregnancy I had the pleasure of being pregnant with one of my dear friends. It was fun to share the journey with such a wonderful person ! Even though we now reside in Northern California and she still resides in Southern we were able to share our pregnancy journey with each other miles away. The picture above was from her Northern Cali Baby Shower(their family lives close to us). She was 31 weeks and I was 33 weeks pregnant!

These are the proud Daddy's! Our baby girl and their baby boy was around 3 months and meeting for the first time!

Now these 2 munchkins are 8 months old! Their parents are chasing them around the room as they crawl, climb, and try to put EVERYTHING in their mouth. We were honored last week when our friends opened up their home and showed us some lovely overnight hospitality! It was also so fun watching these two roll around and play that I had to snap,snap,and snap away!

They even had a pretty Lady come over and add her spice to the fun!

We shall see if this Lil Man and Lil Lady will find more interest in each other 20 something years from now....I am just saying that it is a possibility!!!
