33 weeks and Nesting has began!
The nesting instinct is the name given to the distinctive urge to clean, tidy, and organize that occurs during pregnancy. One of the many pregnancy symptoms that you will experience, the nesting instinct generally kicks in around the fifth month of pregnancy, however it can also occur much earlier or much later. Many women acutely experience the nesting instinct in the final days of their pregnancy, and this can often be a sign that labor and delivery is close at hand. Nesting tends to vary from woman to woman; in fact, some women don’t experience the nesting instinct at all when they are pregnant. Others experience mild forms of the instinct while others feel the urge much more severely.
I am very excited I officially started to nest last week when my mom arrived to help me with Joshua's nursery. Before she arrived I was actually discouraged after having all three of my showers and feeling just a little overwhelmed by all the gifts and Joshua's belongings that need to be organized(by the first picture you can see that it was quite a bit to do). I just did not feel the urge to began the process. I can now say that I am on a non-stop nesting run and we are ready for J.J! We are just waiting on the rest of his furniture. This was purchased by his wonderful grandparents and will be personally delivered by them next week.(Stay tuned for more pictures to come once the entire nursery is complete).
